To establish as Government Technological College, GTC (Panglong) in Loilem township, Southern Shan State, the construction of main building and workshop of building area 125952 sq.ft was implemented by Naung Tone Construction Company on 1 July 2002 with the permission of cabinet meeting which was opened it on 11 February 2003. The construction works were completely finished on (24.5.2004) . It was opened as a Government Technological College (GTU) on (27.9.2002) and then upgraded as Technological University (Panglong) on 20 January 2007 by the Government .
